With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a talented and professional to join our team as an Operational Excellence Engineer for our Mexicali Site.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design, lead, and implement continuous improvement and operational transformation projects.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction across business processes.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational performance.
- Train and develop employees in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Performs process audits and operational gap analyses.
- Collaborate with key areas (production, logistics, finance, quality, etc.) to ensure cross-functional improvement.
- Coordinates cross functional teams through Strategy Deployment (Hoshin Kanri) and Kaizen/Kaikaku
- Ability to develop standard work and create tiered Gemba process
Experiencia y requisitos
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of confirmed experience in a related role, with some combination of experience in key functional roles: Continuous improvement, Operations, Operational excellence.
- Good knowledge in core OPEX tools, VSA, Line balancing, Heijunka, Jidoka, 3P and strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decision-making.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in cultural transformations.
- Ability to work in cross functional teams.
- Good communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish: Proficient in both written and spoken languages.
- Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, 5S, etc. methodologies.
- Process analysis, value stream mapping (VSM), operational indicators.
- Data analysis tools (advanced Excel, Power BI, Minitab, etc.).
- Analytical thinking and results oriented.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Master’s degree in administration, Quality, or related fields is desirable.
- Experience in Lean/Six Sigma projects (preferably with Green Belt certification).
- Project management (PMP certification or similar)
