The Labor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining positive labor-management relations within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role will lead union and employee relations activities, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, support workforce engagement initiatives, and partner with operations leadership to maintain a productive and collaborative workplace.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in labor relations, conflict resolution, investigations, collective bargaining, and workforce strategy within a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

Labor Relations

  • Develop and execute labor relations strategies that support business objectives and promote a positive work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for labor relations matters and employee concerns.
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), where applicable.
  • Lead grievance management processes, investigations, and dispute resolution efforts.
  • Support negotiations with labor representatives and assist in collective bargaining activities.
  • Maintain productive relationships with union representatives and workforce committees.

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to policy violations, employee complaints, and labor disputes.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Recommend corrective actions and risk mitigation plans when necessary.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor legal developments and advise leadership on labor-related risks and best practices.
  • Partner with Legal and Human Resources teams to manage labor-related claims and audits.
  • Maintain accurate labor relations documentation and reporting.

Experiencia y requisitos

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

  • 7+ years of Labor Relations, Human Resources, or Employee Relations experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in electronics, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing preferred.
  • Proven experience managing unionized workforces and collective bargaining processes.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing grievance procedures.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, mediation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
