Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, commissioning, and ongoing support of automated manufacturing equipment and robotic cells.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, validation, and ongoing operation of automated manufacturing systems.
  • Design or modify fixtures, tooling, and simple workstations to support automated operations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, process-related, and equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and external partners during installation, commissioning, maintenance, and process improvement activities.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reduce process variability.
  • Provide technical support to production teams.
  • Train operators and supervisors on the proper use of automated equipment and standardized processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Experiencia y requisitos

Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience programming automated robotic arms using Lua scripting.
  • Lean Certification or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and robotics systems.
  • Strong mechanical skills, with solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, responsible, service-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software or 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).
  • Experience configuring and using machine-to-machine communication systems, including RS-485, Modbus, and TCP/IP.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of English.
  • Valid passport and U.S. visa.
  • Willingness and availability to travel.
