Assistant Controller (AR)

Financial Reporting & Accounting

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements.

· Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.

· Maintain the integrity of financial records in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

· Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.

General Accounting

· Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger functions.

· Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.

· Oversee bank reconciliations and cash management activities.

· Review and approve accounting transactions for accuracy and compliance.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

· Assist in preparing the annual operating budget and financial forecasts.

· Monitor departmental spending against budget.

· Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions.

· Develop KPIs and management reports.

Internal Controls & Compliance

· Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.

· Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.

· Coordinate internal and external audits.

Manufacturing Cost Accounting

· Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances.

· Review production costs and work order reporting.

· Partner with Operations to improve manufacturing efficiencies and cost controls.

Leadership

· Supervise and develop accounting staff.

· Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.

· Promote continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.

· Serve as backup to the Controller when needed.
