The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading warehouse and material flow operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, WIP control, and compliance with company and IMMEX requirements. The position leads the warehouse team and coordinates closely with Production, Materials Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, and Foreign Trade/Customs. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate SAP inventory records, effective Kanban and Pull Systems, cycle counting, , material traceability, and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities and Activities
- Lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, staging, movement, picking, and shipment of materials.
- Ensure all received materials are verified against the applicable PO, packing list, and system documentation, including quantity, part number, condition, and identification.
- Maintain accurate warehouse locations and ensure material is properly identified, stored, and traceable.
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventories, variance investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate SAP transactions for receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, and material movements.
- Control WIP and ensure physical inventory is accurately reconciled with SAP and production records.
- Lead and sustain Kanban and Pull Systems, including supermarket management, replenishment parameters, FIFO, and line-side material availability.
- Coordinate with Production and Materials Planning to ensure timely material delivery and prevent line stoppages caused by warehouse or material-flow issues.
- Manage temporary imported materials in coordination with Foreign Trade/Customs, ensuring traceability and accurate inventory records throughout the material lifecycle.
- Support IMMEX inventory control and Anexo 24 requirements applicable to the company's operation.
Experiencia y requisitos
Knowledge / Skills
- Leadership: Ability to lead, develop, and hold warehouse and materials teams accountable for operational results.
- Warehouse & Materials Management: Strong knowledge of receiving, storage, material staging, line-side supply, WIP, finished goods, and shipping.
- IMMEX / Foreign Trade: Practical experience in IMMEX manufacturing environments, including temporary imported materials, inventory traceability, returns, scrap control, and coordination with Foreign Trade/Customs.
- Inventory Control: Strong knowledge of cycle counting, inventory accuracy, root-cause analysis, physical-to-system reconciliation, FIFO, and inventory adjustments.
- SAP: Hands-on experience using SAP for material movements, inventory control, transfers, receipts, issues, and traceability; SAP MM/WM/EWM experience preferred according to site configuration.
- Excel: Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis, and preferably Power Query.
- Lean / Material Flow: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Kanban and Pull Systems, including supermarkets, replenishment parameters, FIFO, material flow, and line-side availability.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to use data and KPIs to identify inventory discrepancies, material shortages, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Communication: Clear communication with cross-functional teams and ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
- Process Improvement: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, standard work, and waste reduction.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in warehouse, materials, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
