Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements foreign trade, operational, and customs compliance strategies that are interconnected with the different areas of the Company.
- Ensures communication and compliance with corporate policies regarding foreign trade. Proposes the best national practices to the corporate office.
- Ensures that customs compliance functions are carried out for the organization's import and export operations, coordinating with the different areas.
- Plans and designs for the flow of imports and exports in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Ensure scheduling shipments and notifies the Departments and clients involved of the arrival dates.
- Manages, implements, and maintains customs certifications related to taxes (VAT / IEPS, etc.) and security (C-TPAT, OEA, etc.) in various countries.
- Handles outreach with the different applicable government agencies (SE, SAT, SAGARPA, SEMARNAT, COFEPRIS, FDA, FCC, USDA, etc.).
- Manages national and international logistics service providers, customs agents, and warehouses in Mexico and abroad.
- Manages expenses related to the foreign trade department, leads continuous improvement, tax, and cost reduction projects.
- Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the Anexo 24 system.
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining certifications and permits applicable to companies under the IMMEX program.
- Responsible for implementing foreign trade metrics to monitor performance and its impact.
- Responsible for maximizing the benefits of international treaties and ensuring their correct application.
- Handles tasks related to foreign trade, responsible for attending an audit by government authorities.
- Prepares and manages the department's objectives, creates, validates, and authorizes the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Creates a positive work environment where employees want to stay and develop their careers in the company.
- Ensure that the company's processes comply with legal requirements.
Experiencia y requisitos
Requirements:
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills to identify and address potential risks in Import/Export systems and customs compliance records.
- Deep knowledge of regulations, standards, procedures, and best practices in foreign trade.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, management, and external suppliers.
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in using equipment and tools related to the job.
- Excellent ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Highly effective problem-solving skills related to the job role.
- Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team, in an organized manner and with excellent time management.

- Previous experience of 4 to 6 years.
- Proficient in English.
- Residents in Baja California only.
