HR Administrator

This is a non-managerial HR Administrator role supporting approximately 25 office employees.

We are a growing company and are seeking a candidate who wants to grow with us over time.

The position is hands-on and execution-focused, not an HR leadership or strategic role at this stage.

Future growth is performance-based and earned through execution, not title or tenure.

The Human Resources Administrator supports day-to-day HR administrative functions for Lavé Apparel’s Tijuana office operations. This role focuses on compliance, accurate execution of HR processes, and clear communication of policies and procedures that support a stable and professional work environment.

This is a hands-on, non-managerial role requiring a working knowledge of Mexican labor law, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with management and employees while following established guidelines and escalating issues appropriately.


Role Overview

TThe Human Resources Administrator supports day-to-day HR administrative functions for Lavé Apparel’s Tijuana office operations. This role focuses on compliance, accurate execution of HR processes, and clear communication of policies and procedures that support a stable and professional work environment.

This is a hands-on, non-managerial role requiring a working knowledge of Mexican labor law, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with management and employees while following established guidelines and escalating issues appropriately.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR administrative operations for the Tijuana office staff
  • Ensure HR activities follow Ley Federal del Trabajo requirements and internal company policies
  • Coordinate employee documentation related to IMSS, INFONAVIT, payroll inputs, and required filings in coordination with external providers
  • Administer onboarding, offboarding, personnel files, attendance records, and HR documentation

Experiencia y requisitos

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting coordination, interview scheduling, and new-hire setup
  • Provide HR administrative support to managers, including policy guidance and documentation support
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook as directed
  • Support employee relations matters by documenting issues and escalating appropriately
  • Prepare HR records and documentation to support Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social inspections or audits, under leadership direction
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and basic HR reporting
  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or associate degree required; relevant HR coursework or certification a plus
  • 2–4 years of hands-on HR administrative or coordinator experience
  • Working knowledge of Mexican Labor Law/Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT) and basic HR compliance in Mexico
  • Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, attendance, and HR documentation
  • Ability to follow established policies and escalate legal or disciplinary matters appropriately
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment
  • Bilingual: Spanish (native or fluent) and English (professional working proficiency)


Preferred Qualifications

Experience in apparel manufacturing or similar production environments

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $4,500 MXN NET weekly 
  • Benefits: According to the Ley Federal del Trabajo (LFT), including social security, vacation, and other statutory benefits
