SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing guidance and support on the application of Mexican Government and U.S. Government export/import regulations including, International Export Administration Regulations (EAR), US Customs and Border Protection Regulations and CTPAT Programs, US Government FDS, Mexican Maquila Programs, PROSEC and other Mexican industry sectorial benefits. The position includes management/mentoring direct report employees. Additionally, it requires interfacing with both internal and external customers on export/import requirements and activities, developing and delivering training, preparing licenses and complex agreements necessary to export Medical devices. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and Mentor export/import personnel in day-to-day export/Import activities and assignments

• Work with direct reports to establish goals, complete performance reviews and assist with career development.

• Develops and implements Fiscal Strategies for International Commerce and Customs Compliance.

• Ensures that all functions from the different departments related to Customs Compliance for the Import Export Function are met.

• Ensures the scheduling of transportation services for the shipment of goods, notifying departments, clients and all parties involved in the process.

• Participate with other teams, Managers, Consultants, Auditors and Business partners (New Program, DGS Customs and Supply Chain, Custom Brokers, Purchasing, Europe Transportation, SAT, Secretaria de Economia, MX Finance) in the development and implementation of enterprise policies and procedures for managing the Customs Compliance and business Risk Assessments.

• Submit and obtain permits, licensing and other government authorizations and certifications to maintain duty free operations in Mexico DGS while complying with Fiscal and USA, Mexico customs and Customs and Border Protection and FDA regulations and requirements.

• Leads compliance audits and investigations

Experiencia y requisitos

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Commerce, Business Administration or related field

• CTPAT certification experience a must.

• Experience handling Import/ Export Compliance Systems (Preferably I-Xport)

• Proven experience complying with Annex 24 and Annex 31 Mexican IRS requirements.

• 5-7 years’ experience working in Customs, Import/Export, Traffic/ Transportation and Government Compliance areas •Intermediate Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel ( Pivot Tables, V Lookups, Uploads and Downloads of data files)

• Intermediate Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups, Uploads and Downloads of data files).
