Descripción y detalle de las actividades

  • Packaging Development & Implementation: Design, test, and implement packaging solutions for new product development (NPI) projects, managing the complete process from design ideation and prototyping to part setup and production implementation.
  • Performance Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans using industry standards (ISTA, ASTM, ISO) and internal standards to ensure packaging designs meet and exceed customer specifications.
  • Design for Manufacturability & Troubleshooting: Analyze engineering drawings and product specifications to determine physical characteristics, special handling, safety requirements, and material types. Diagnose and resolve new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials, and processes with timely, cost-effective solutions.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma Execution: Lead continuous improvement projects (Kaizen events, VSM, Takt time analysis, FMEA, and Fishbone diagrams) to reduce scrap/material waste, enhance safety, improve quality performance (PPM), and drive on-time project delivery.
  • Line Optimization & Cost Savings Initiatives: Identify and execute cost-reduction initiatives regarding packaging materials, labor, storage, and transportation. Optimize workflow on existing packaging lines or participate in the design and setup of new packaging lines to increase throughput and capacity.
  • Standardization & Documentation: Create part specifications, package assembly instructions, standard work documentation, visual management systems, and drive 5S initiatives across the packaging area.
  • Cross-Functional & Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with global packaging suppliers, engineering, product management, operations, and sourcing teams on all assigned projects.
