The primary function of this position is to manage the flow of materials into the facility, through the facility and outbound, in a way that maximizes on-time delivery while minimizing inventory and logistics cost also Responsible for managing the Supply Chain to meet the demand of the client. Coordinating Production Planning, Manufacturing Scheduling, Plant Capacity, Procurement, Import/Export and Materials Planning, to optimize resources and processes to achieve Company goals, accomplished by using standard processes and tools that are prescribed.
- Utilize systematic processes to monitor materials management operating compliance and performance.
- Formulate supply strategies and acquire necessary resources to ensure we meet and improve KPI targets such as On-time Delivery, Past Due, Days on Hand, Excess and Obsoletes. Remove barriers that negatively affect such indicators.
- Drives communication and information dissemination on improvement opportunities, lean initiatives and facilitates ongoing performance feedback to operational supply chain management and employees.
- Drives alignment with divisions and corporate staff regarding projects, processes, and initiatives.
- Defines process improvement opportunities within area of responsibility through gaining advanced understanding of operational material demand requirements and working with material planners and buyers to optimize materials and service flow.
- Monitors the performance of core service providers to ensure compliance and alignment with customer requirements and contractual obligations.
- Drives a sustainable atmosphere of cooperative collaboration and alignment between area of responsibility, the manufacturing operations, service providers, and customers through ongoing communications and sharing of ideas for continuous process improvements.
- Elaborates, negotiates, and manages the Organization’s objectives and budgets, as well as the strategies and action plans to achieve those objectives.
Experiencia y requisitos
- BS degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- English level: Advanced.
- More than 5 Years Managing an Industrial Materials Department.
- Proficient in Windows Office (Excel, Power Point).
- Experience in Item Master, Item Branch, Routing, BOM and general product structuring utilization and analysis.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing Techniques as they relate to Materials planning and logistics.
- Experience in Manufacturing Industry on Materials, Planning and General Purchasing activities.
- Experience in providing leadership across functional departmental boundaries is essential.
- Skills such as leadership, proactivity, teamwork, problem solving, coaching skills, excellent organization skills and customer service oriented.
