- Create, review and maintain Certificates of Origin of FG, raw material for TMEC/USMCA/CUSMA.
- Knowledge to apply and maintain the provisions of drawback, 9801, 9802, 9803.
- Knowledge of Section 301, 232 Auto and Steel, etc., Sec 122 to analyze and to support the perform assessments of any financial impact to the company product.
- Maintain the recordkeeping of all the U.S. Affidavits, Trade Certificates from suppliers.
- Review and analyze the Customs Bond (CF 301) in order to make modifications if applicable for the yearly renewal.
- Provide support to maintain organization C-TPAT program.
- Provide import and export compliance guidance to various functional departments.
- Perform post-audit reviews to all Entry Summaries (CF 7501).
- Request, review and maintain control of Post Summary Corrections (PSC).
- Prepare and submit through the Customs House Broker the Importer Security Filings (ISF).
- Provide Import customs entry instructions to customs brokers for clearance purposes.
- Maintainthe recordkeeping of all Import and Export transactions.
- Perform Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Schedule B Classification determinations under U.S. and non-US regulations.
- Develop and monitor work instructions for Import and Export operations.
- Review all entry summary billings from the Customs House Broker.
- Support and monitor the Import and Export transactions to and from Canada.
- Support to responses in a timely manner to the Import Specialist from U.S. Customs and Border Protection for CF28 and CF29 purposes.
- Advice internal management or business partners on the implementation or operation of new import export processes to ensure business objectives comply with all customs regulations.
- Assess emerging compliance issues with management or employees to identify the potential impact of future laws and regulations on the organization.
- Continuously evaluate current processes and recommend relevant changes or improvements to increase efficiency/productivity.
Experiencia y requisitos
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in
Customs, International Business or a combination of experience and Bachelor's Degree.
Experience: 2 - 5 years’ experience in U.S. Customs trade compliance.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and TMS.
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
