Identify, evaluate, qualify, and implement new suppliers for assigned commodities— including Fabricated Sheet Metal (FSM), Machined Parts (MP), Stamping, Extrusions, Plastic Injection Molding (PIM), Weldments, Assemblies, Electronics, Pneumatics, Chemicals, Adhesives, Cardboard, Foam, and other packaging materials. This includes price negotiation, onsite supplier quality audits, and service level definition. Extend the Low Cost Country (LCC) supplier base where applicable. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills, and error-free documents. Experience to a technical Engineered-to Order (ETO), is preferred. Experience managing commodities such as Fabricated Sheet Metal (FSM), Machined Parts, Electro-Mechanical components, PCBs, Optics, or Steel is an advantage. Strong negotiation skills. Familiarity with SAP Procurement modules, including contracts, purchase info records (PIRs), source lists, and master data management, is desirable. Advanced expertise in Excel. Collaborate with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) on product phase-out activities, new product introductions, including Design for Excellence (DFX) initiatives, vendor selection, and ensuring supply chain readiness for launches. MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, manufacturing, quality, engineering. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS This position has a travel requirement of less than 10%. Domestic and international travel (by commercial or personal means, including economy class air travel). Passport with valid visas for entry into countries throughout the world is required.
